Hi There! My name as you probably know is Jonathan Bishop - people close to me call me Jon. My job profile can be best described as being an information technology executive, researcher and writer. I have the material wealth of those of us typically restrained, the education of people we typically see as privileged, and the aspirations of who we might typically call idealistic - It goes without saying that my philosophy is pluralist!
I have been to university, run businesses, and published widely. I have hired people, fired people, won friends, lost friends, been in love and fallen out of love. I see the world in its many colours and shades, knowing a tiny bit of everything. My passions are science, technology and social justice, and I engage with public and civic life to blend all three to help create a better world for all of us.
These photos of the Jenkins family in Efail Isaf were taken in the 1970s and 1980s. They have been restored in terms of colour and clarity to look as though they were taken with modern cameras.
A before and after picture of the Old Bridge in Pontypridd, showing it transformed from its high-resolution form in 2006, to what it might have looked light had it been a photograph from the last century.
